BCBS Job Opening: Front Office and Course Manager
Position Available November 2014

BCBS is looking for a sincere dharma practitioner to join our staff and live at the study center. The position requires someone who is committed to service, flexible, easy-going, multi-talented, and self-motivated.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for the operation of the front office including course registrations, answering telephones and emails, donations entry, and other clerical duties needed for the daily operations of the Study Center.
  • Manage courses including set-up, check-in, opening talk, and providing assistance to teachers and participants.


  • A strong commitment to maintaining a warm welcoming environment for guests.
  • Ability to remain calm and flexible in the midst of a busy environment.
  • Good clerical and computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Sense of humor, flexibility and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks.
  • A sincere interest in contemplative practice and study.

This is a fulltime, 35 hour per week residential position. Staff members are expected to make an 18-month commitment. Compensation includes a modest salary, excellent health benefits, housing & partial board, retirement benefits, and generous paid time off. Staff members are also eligible to participate in all BCBS and IMS programs, including the Staff Sangha program.
